Data Processing
Engineer
Job Purpose:
The Data Processing Engineer is responsible for transforming raw geospatial data (drone, LiDAR, mobile mapping, and satellite data) into accurate, high-quality, and client-ready deliverables. This role ensures processing efficiency, technical accuracy, and compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and internal standards. The engineer works closely with data acquisition, GIS, QA/QC, and project management teams to support large- scale mapping and digital twin projects.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Process UAV and LiDAR data
- Generate orthophotos, DSM, DTM, and point clouds
- Create 3D models and meshes
- Prepare GIS and CAD deliverables
- Perform quality control and checks
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance with specifications
- Meet processing timelines and SLAs
- Report issues and processing status
- Manage data storage and backups
- Coordinate with survey and acquisition teams
- Support project managers and QA teams
- Document processing activities
- Follow company standards and procedures
Education and Professional Qualifications:
- Geomatics engineering degree or surveying engineering
